ROHÁČE

We start from the car park below cottage Mier.  There is snowless so enough vehement way faces as far as crossroad with blue mark to the highs 1300 asl (above sea level) ,  where we already fitt-on snow-shoes.  Snow is soft and we drawn without snow shoes.  We achieve the edge Babky after about 3 hours. Here we continue all the time in snow-shoes on Malá and Velká Kopa.  From here we already see Sivý vrch, it seems us in snow enough long way afar.  Weather is beautiful, so go on. We arrive Sivý vrch already considerably jaded and the way up rather resembled racking on stacks of sand. From here behind stable weather we go infinite transition to saddle Palenica,  where we originally think of bivouac. But still much snow is here,  so step (  already on the verge of break down ) on spot height Redikálné - 1651 asl,  where we pass the night below the sky at.

It is clear weather in the morning and we set-out fast over edge to Brestova-1903 asl.  Obligatory taking photo we provide here and first we have a good vista of Rohace mountains. Descend into saddle Parichvost is affair for minutes and we already rise vehement snow on Salatin - 2047 asl,  which still has snow slab in the north side.  Here we already see Skriniarky, that are snowy and looks almost impassable and mainly we see threatening Pachola - 2167 asl.  Nevertheless there is no alternative,  that is why we entre to the sharp edge of Skriniarky and with a number of breaks after about one hour we reach over the summit Spálené - 2083 asl. below summit Pachola.  This ( though its snowy edge ) dissuade halves of men at first,  so after consultation (that with in the same way nobody return back) we head for fate. Key point of ascent is immediately at start - accession to edge. The climb through circa 30 metre long chine in frozen snow ( morning was -7°C )  was enough physical fastidious ( I advise climbing-irons ) and objectively said also dangerous of slip and fall.  After ascent of the edge the situation is very fast better and the way already rise to summit.  It's relatively small place up on high 2167 asl. and with gorgeous vista of snowy northern wall of Banikov and whole Roháče mountains.  We warm already taned in the sun on the summit maybe 30 minutes and go down to the Baníkovské saddle  - 2080 asl. Here again in snow-shoes ( somebody and after back ) run centre of gorge Zavraty, by 630 metre long downhill as far as the level of wood. Here, without seeing blue mark we try to find the way through forest along Jalovský potok (spring), which is covered by  pent several threatening avalanches. We fill bottle with water and at last we set on footpath. But after about 15 minutes we lose the way. After making decision to continue along spring Bugs Bunney shouts, that the way leads shurely 100 metre above us. So so alive after whole day trek we rise very sheer slope following Bugs Bunney. After a while it is clear that we go wrong way and return back to the spring a keep the first variant to go along spring. After about 10 minutes ( still with  snowshoes ) we meet yellow mark in 1005 asl. Smiling and looking forward to bivouac soon we continue. But the snow does not disappeare even next 1,5 hour of fast walking. Finaly, total destroyed and run ourself out, we reach the crossing of red way, where we finaly can overnight. We fall asleep after well earned fortifying with good meal and brandy also satisfied with todays performance. We already easy arrieve to the car in 10 minutes and leave for the way home.

IMPORTANT :   We had an advantage, that someone had gone the whole edge one day before, so we could see direction of footprints. It is not usefull almost whole trek, but on rocky Skriniarky or Pachola it was important way-sign. We also would not reach anywhere without snowshoes. During so much snow  I recommend to set on the way only in good weather and with climbin irons also ice-pick.
