HIGH TATRA MOUNTAINS

Starting point is in Starý Smokovec. From here to Hrebienok, where also funicular ends and entrance to Velká and Studená dolina.  This way, with beautiful view and occasional passing of Studený potok ( stream ),  we step up quite easy to Zbojnicka Chata ( cottage ) in highs 1960 above sea level (asl).  Further it is more exacting rise to  saddle Prielom - 2290 asl.,  that is protected by chains on second parties to unexceptionable descent to Zamrzlé pleso ( tarn ).  From here again vehement climb to the saddle of Polský hřeben ( Polish edge ).  Final way leads along  western arm of Vychodna Vysoka. Summit is small only for afew men,  untagged. Descent is then best and finest through Malá Studená dolina ( lowland ) to Obrovský vodopád ( gigantic waterfall ) and Slezský dům ( Silesian houses ) - 1670 asl.  We get over relatively long travers through dwarf pine to Starý Smokovec. On the whole 18,25 km.

 Bystrá is the highest point of Roháče ( Western Tatra ). It is beautiful way along Bystrá dolina ( lowland ). We go along stream Bystrá al the time,  which sometimes crossing over isn't easy.  As when stream ends in spring area below tarn, the way turns right and hot soars by schwitchbacks to the edge to the highs 1905 asl.  It opens us fascinating look especially of Krivan.  Enough steeply we advance after broad footpath to the summit.  Camber is 1388 metres on 8,55 km.  From here we descent rapidly to the Bystré sedlo ( saddle ) and lot hot ascend to Klín ( 2172 asl ). My left knee already overwalks during next descent to Koncista.  Infinite ascent of Hnědý vrch ( next top ) is already lot exacting ( 2137 asl)  - we don't go on the top and we advace by schwitchbacks to the saddle in biggest difference of elevation.  Ascent to Derava - 1955 asl,  and to its saddle is already lighter.  But we descent below - to Jamnicke pleso ( tarn ) - 1732 asl. ,  where we stay overnight.  Second day we pass by Volovec and from saddle we climb up chain straight on Ostrý Roháč - 2088 asl.  It is splendour and silhouette of Plačlivé  ( 2125 asl. )  and advance to it over protected edge  is a dish.  Long descent to the Smutné sedlo ( saddle ) we interrupt by cooking lunch.  Sheer, past cliff protected ascent of Tri Kopy ( 2136 asl. ) is difficulty 1-2 UIAA.  Following Hrubá Kopa ( 2166 asl. ) is plump summit with easy access. The most difficult and lastly finest is advace over serrated edge on Banikov - 2178 asl.,  from where is beautiful view of Liptovska Mara (dam),  Bystrá and Baranec.  Descend into saddle is nerve-racking and exceedingly sheer. We pass by Sarafiovy waterfall above Ziarska chata ( cottage ) and further over asphalt road as far as snack - bar Svišť at the bottom of lowland,  where we stay overnight on door yard. Last day we traverse infinite  circa 12,5 km long way to Bystrá dolina ( lowland)  to car.
